From November 2006 Final letters is a weekly project taking place during the MA and beyond, the notion is connected to the Spiritualist Rudolf Steiner and the theory that when we die our memories flash before our eyes, so final letters consist of my own personal feelings, memories and thoughts at the particular time of the letter being written. The letters are to be archived in a particular manor so that they are slightly concealed to the audience. a personal CD player will also be situated in the room with my own voice reading certain extracts from the letters. The choice of the CD and headphones is to make it a personal encounter like reading someones diary, you don't think you should be you do...
The letters are hard to write, they consist of my own personl secrets and thoughts about the people and happenings that have altered and changed my life. The first letters written were probably the hardest, consisting of the most intimate secrets and confessions I have held in my mind for many years. Memories shared and had build up a big amount of the content as its through these that I have gained an opinion on the person or event. I know some of the letters consist of my most personal information that I would never otherwise tell the person to their face.
